Adding an index to our 25m record DB, which is understandably taking a long time. When I tried to run it it timed out after 1800 seconds, which is odd as my DBMS connection read time out was set to 3600. I upped it to 36000, reconnected and the query still timed out after 1800 seconds.

Am I missing a setting I need to increase, or could this be a limit on the DB side? I tried looking at "SHOW VARIABLES LIKE '%timeout%';" but none of them were set to 1800, and interactive_timout and wait_timeout are set to 28800.
