VB.NET iTextSharp.text.pdf not going aligning to center

Question

I'm studying itextsharp in VB.Net and I'm trying to center the text to PDF and i been researching for this one for days so here is my code

Dim different_font_style = FontFactory.GetFont(FontFactory.COURIER_OBLIQUE, 48, 
   HorizontalAlignment.Center)
dfDoc.Add(New Paragraph("Mendigoria", different_font_style))

So the problem is no error is showing but i cant seems to make the "Mendigoria" go to center the text is always stuck in the left side of the pdf document
